concept has been done but 12 years ago and nobody in the mainstream acknowledged or gave a shit about the us placers video…the concept of the luda song goes hand and hand with the concept of the video and nobody makes videos like rik cordero, if people did than dude wouldn’t be where he’s at. eat a dick haters.

agreed with raquan. I would also like to add that the greatest movies and/or feature films are repeated concepts of old ones..does that mean they aren’t classic?no. im no dickrider but i know stupid commentary when i see it. cordero is a modern genius.

Two comments agreeing on the director’s genius in three minutes?. One incredibly well versed in the parity between the song and video’s concept and the other making piecemeal statements about the concepts of the greatest movies. Both ending in dick-related expletives. Penned by the same hand or just two incredibly like-minded individuals?
Either way doesn’t change the fact that this video HAS been done twice before. To deride the US placers video in an attempt to detract from this fact seems like an incredibly cheap shot and while nobody makes videos like Rik Cordero it seem, in this instance,he is prepared to make videos which mimic everybody.

And isn’t I Do It For Hip Hop the narrators modern-day reminiscence on their past?
April 6th, 2009 - 23:29
im going to take this to mean luda couldnt get nas and jay for the video.

This is officially the longest dialogue on the site ever which is amazing so thank you guys! P S Niall you have some extremely valid points but for the record I never dismissed US Placers or Skys The Limit as inventive and captivating videos featuring children as our beloved artists. Those are two incredible well done videos that captured the essence of the music and the spirit of the artist without them being there. So with that said, no this video is not a concept that I’m trying to pass off as wholly original but at the same time your quick to say that I’m ready to mimic everybody because of what is perceived as “gimmick” casting. In this business sometimes your given an assignment with specific instructions. Now you can either choose to do it like those who have done it before you, or you can give your interpretation to it and hope for the best. Feel free to roast me after the video is done but to do it because of a casting call poster seems uncalled for.

Woooowwwwwww is this the same Heather that was leaving rude messages on the other contestants videos. Small cyber world! Its even more sad that you say that you work at an afterschool program with kids. With some of the words that you were calling these kids I wouldn’t dare want you working around ANY KID. Remeber this Heather God is good and HE takes care of HIS children and what is done in the dark ALWAYS comes to light. Have a good day
This is you right http://www.youtube.com/HeatherK15.
